I would like to take the time to inform you all that all major scenes for Chasing the Tide have been completed at 25,100 words. I’m working on this manuscript a bit differently than Mystic Waters. The biggest difference is that I’m allowing myself to bounce around in the story. While writing my first book, I was, at first, strictly staying chronological. But with this manuscript, I start at the beginning, write the middle, go back to the beginning, hell, write the end. Essentially, I write whatever I feel in the moment.
I’m going to explain this to you all again. When reading Mystic Waters, understand that that is the beginning. It’s tame for a reason. But don’t doubt that this story will take you places you never thought you’d go.
I know this post is a short one, but I really have to get back to writing. Less than 70 days left in Afghanistan! Maybe CTT’s first draft will be done by then? Let’s hope.
Now playing Paramore’s Decode.
In a perfect world, Kellan Lutz would play Edric. But don’t let that deter you from coming up with your own vision of Edric!
All my love,
