Hello Friends! (Beta Feedback #2)

I have some news!

Yesterday, Twitter was ablaze with #Pitchmas, an event that encouraged writers to “pitch” their books within 140 character while literary agents waited patiently to “favorite” a tweet they liked. If an agent “favorite” your tweet, you were to submit your query, 25 pages for some, first three chapters for others. I got four favorites! While I’m sure others received more, I’m so happy that despite the time difference, this could be achieved. While I’m sad that this event is over (It was only for the 20th), I’m so glad I took a chance and gave it a shot.

In other news, I got feedback from my second beta reader. Again, these are their own opinions and I ask that you respect them.

I found it to be an interesting and enjoyable take on the “I didn’t know I was a mermaid” scenario. The flow of the story was pretty good and when things start to go south for the heroine, the reader is taken by surprise.

If anyone would like to beta read for me, feel free to email me at Cynthia.a.rodriguez6@gmail.com!

I know I had some people a bit worried with my last post, but we’re all doing well over here. While tragedy can break people down, it’s brought us all together and shown us just how precious life is. I want to ask you all to continue to pray that we make it home safely. I wish you well.

  1. It is good to hear you are safe, few can understand what you all are going through over there and I will continue to pray for all of you.

Very exciting to hear about the pitchmas success. I hope one of those agents picks up your novel and we get to see it on the book stand.

    Merry Christmas!
