24 Hours

Good morning to you all! I know this post is a little early. I’m usually not released for the day for a few more hours BUT because I have 12-hour duty (overnight, yes) starting in 3 hours, I’m given time to get myself situated. While on duty, I will be spending the last time I have editing my book before sending it off to my editor for the first time!

Needless to say, I’m nervous. I’ve had four people read my manuscript and I received great feedback. I witnessed the rush that one feels when reading a good story and that excites me!

So, I’m spending the last 24 hours with my manuscript. Its bittersweet. On one hand, I’ve completed something amazing and am sending it off to become even better! On the other hand, sending it off is the beginning of sharing the story (which is what I want!), making it no longer just mine. It was ok when it was just mine. But when it goes out to you all, it needs to be PERFECT!

I’m a bundle of nerves.

P.S. Currently listening to 24 Hours by Sky Ferreira. How appropriate.

All my love,

ah, over night duty, the memories. When I did it though we had 24 hour duty and had to be up for 24 hours straight, 6am until 6am. Always got a lot of reading done.

Do you plan to write another manuscript while this one is out being edited?

We usually have 24 hours on and 24 off but there aren’t enough to cover down on so we just do 12. I plan on starting the second installment of the trilogy. I was hoping to participate in NaNoWriMo but I’m certain I will die of exhaustion if I do lol.
